sucking air

Well I had this photo shoot with Mycah Birge this past week and it was a blast! Although, I thought I was going to die because we forced the shoot so quick. I didn't have any tanks so I just grabbed air and dropped to 10-12 feet down as quick as I could by letting all my air out. Then I would hold tight and wait for Mycah to hit the board and a moment later she would be in the water. I then grabbed the housing and would quick kick back to the surface as fast I could. The end result was some really fun pictures. Only problem was I got water in my ear and it took the rest of the night to get it out - as well as being thoroughly exhausted! Next time, I think I have to get some air down there.

Mycah torpedos back to the surface.

Ogilvie Family

I had the opportunity to photograph the Ogilvie Family up on Lake Tapps. It was a beautiful evening and the water was so warm that I think they didn't mind getting wet at all. It must have looked a bit funny with them out in the water with me and my lights on a light stand. All went well until water dripped out of the stand onto the battery pack!

One little zap later that fryed my thumb and I realized that there I had better be careful. But no worries, I prayed while taking it apart and then I dried it off during the night and all was well!

The girls had a bit of fun getting wet!

And they continued to have fun!

Awesome looking family!

HALLIE!

What a blast! I photographed Hallie this past week....and the shoot went so well. I remember thinking man I love my job! I love finding new spots to shoot. I know that if I had to shoot in a studio...well I might as well be in a rubber room - cause I would just go nuts. I just love God's creation and looking for the newness of that day.

Well, here is a sampling:

Sierra and Reagan

What a very special time to be with Sierra and Reagan this past week! Their wedding is next month and it's going to be great and I am really looking forward to it. We wanted to get together and spend some time before their wedding just documenting who they are and show how much they love each other. I know this is my business here at ron storer photography but to me this is life....joy...and a very special time.

We had such a blast...meeting early in the morning at a park was a bit tough. But this shoot was special just letting them laugh, play, love and talk to each other. I told them that this was going to be their date...and Alejandra and I would just tag along. So, thanks Sierra and Reagan for allowing to do this for you. It really shows me how much more I need to do for my own family...being real and taking the time.

So, I hope you enjoy these pictures of them being them. Like the moment when Reagan grabbed a flower and ran through the garden to Sierra. When they crammed inside a phone both and then later dancing and spinning on the beach. And finally high on a ridge Reagan jumped a fence and shared berries with Sierra.

Do yourselves a favor this week spend some time with someone you love-

Our dear friends the Filbecks

We had a wonderful treat this past week. Our dear friends and previous pastors were in town and came and visited us. Jim Filbeck was gracious years ago for allowing me to work in children's ministry and I have been so blessed because of it. And two of the children have now grown up - Janelle and Jenna. Years ago they came out to the pool and I think that is when I put the camera in a plastic bag and took a risk. So, we thought we would take a skip through memory lane and just have the kids go out the pool for a quick pic....the corn...hmmm not sure why we did that.

ACT SIX

It's been a long time since I last posted and whew it's been busy. I shot last week for a previous client ACT SIX.

ACT SIX has been extremely successful in providing minority students with an incredible opportunity at colleges around the country as well as having an unprecedented support group. It was great seeing the students again and hearing what they are up to. Thanks Tim for the wonderful opportunity to serve you again!

These students are just amazing.

sisters

Last fall I photographed Kelsie Brown and then a few days ago I had the opportunity to photograph her sister Katie Brown before she heads out to Chicago. Katie was a bit nervous at first but we had a great time as you can see! I love doing these senior photo shoots because they are always so unique and so beautiful. Thanks again Katie and Kelsie!
