Last posting with blogger

Well, I think that this is the last post with blogger. I enjoyed learning the process here, but it's time to graduate to Word Press!

Our new blog is finishing up and will be linked soon to our website.

I will still have a link to this blog in case you want to look back on anything.

Thanks again for staying in touch!

On the Wall!

One of the coolest things I have experienced over the past several years in this profession is networking with other photographers around the country.

David Jay
is one of the coolest, smartest young photographers out there and when Sarah France
recently toured his new house we found out some cool new insights to this savy young stud.

Anyway part way through the video I saw this shot.

Click on the link below to watch the whole thing and see if you can spot me. ; )

Hey thanks DJ for putting me on your wall!

Easter 2007 -NW Family Kids Church

I have had the wonderful opportunity to help out in Kids Church through the years. I just love it! Young children that want to learn and grow close to God. And I get to work with some of the best people to make it happen. Through the years the set-up has been elaborate and other times it has been extremely basic.

This year was special because my oldest son Grant, was going to be playing the part of Mr. Incredible. He was really concerned and uncomfortable doing it but he was Incredible and the kids loved it! Torey although not in these pictures has recently been helping out in the 3 year olds...and that's dedication! I love our boys, they are caring, loving, hard working and trustworthy.

So, Pastor Dorene asked me to play the Scientist...and I had so much fun with my assistant Emily. The hardest part was just trying to keep those crazy teeth in cause they aren't made to be put over braces. But, with a bit of gum they stayed in place.

Then after Kids Church the kids had a blast at the Easter egg hunt. I love our kids and I am so glad they had fun!

And thanks to Denise and Jenny who helped taking pictures at Kids Church!

Dylan and Shaina's Engagement

Engagement sessions are a lot of fun for me because they are so fun!

Alejandra introduced me to Dylan and Shaina and I am so glad she did. Thanks Alejandra you are the best!
Dylan is a pretty creative guy studying music up at Northwest University and has an incredible story of how God touched his life. Dylan and Shaina fell in love and are just wonderful to hang around with. We did this shoot in two stages in Tacoma and in Olympia and it was a joy to shoot. I don't try to dictate a lot of what goes on - instead I prefer to just go on a date with the couple. The reason is that there is real joy, real fun, and a craziness at times...special moments that are just cool for the two of them rather than me saying do this or that.

Dylan and Shaina, I can't wait to shoot your wedding!

You can check out a movie of the two of them by going to my homepage
and click on the movies on the lower left.

Ray Foley

This past week has been busy doing a lot of different kinds of shooting. On one of the shoots I had the opportunity to meet Ray Foley. Ray lives on a wonderful spread where it is quiet and the elk still come right up to his property. Over the years he has enjoyed training various dogs and his latest is his sweet Anja. This German Shepherd is pretty fun to watch as he moved her quickly through the drills and she didn't hesitate a bit.

You know, I love my job with all the variety it has to offer!

The people are always so special and their interests so varied.
