Hi welcome to my blog!...my name is ron storer and this blog profiles my life as an wedding photographer living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with my wonderful wife Denise (aka Neesie) and my two boys Grant and Torey.  In the earlier years I gained a lot of experience working with various advertising agencies and ministries throughout the world photographing various needs from Aviation to AIDS.  Prior to that I raced for the US Cycling Team winning a Gold Medal in the Pan-Am Games in the Team Pursuit.

Today I work with incredible people that are a joy to be around and have an artistic flare for life on their most special day of their life - whether local or a destination wedding. Yes, it is true that I am an Artistic Award Winning Wedding Photographer, but really each of these moments that are so special are just real endearing moments that I was just fortunate to be at when they happened. If you were to ask me how I view life I would say: with passion!  I love life.  I love people.  I love real special moments.  And that is what this blog is all about.  If you haven't visited my Web site yet, please check it out. If you would like to chat drop me an email or give me a call at  253.670.2372.

top ten in agwpja

Today was our last day of vacation in Leavenworth and we had a wonderful time. Yes, I worked through it and we mostly stayed inside the whole time, but it was still good to just relax whenever. Neesie was pretty sick the whole time, so that was hard for her, but I am finally hearing her laugh once again, so I am thankful to have her back.

Today was also very special because I learned that I received more awards from AGWPJA. These latest awards placed me in the top 10 in the world for 2009 and for that I am very thankful. I want to thank the incredible couples that allowed us to shoot their wedding and I want to thank AGWPJA for this honor. If you know of other couples that are getting married this year, would you consider referring them to us? We promise to treat them right and to give them our best every minute of their wedding.

lovely leavenworth

Lovely Leavenworth doesn’t have much snow this year, especially compared to the record snowfall last year, but it is still so beautiful here. This is the longest vacation we have ever taken and now our dear friends the Best’s are here. The ladies are preparing dinner, the kids are talking in the other room and Pastor Bill is making me laugh.

We love it here!

toms at your wedding

Our Grant has been singing the praises of TOMS shoes this past year. He first heard about them on an AT&T commercial and then our dear friend Cubby had a pair and showed them to Grant. Now Grant just loves his TOMS shoes and their whole business model and was talking about it in depth on the way over to Leavenworth for our vacation. If you haven’t heard of TOMS, you buy a pair of shoes from them and a pair of shoes is given for you to a person in need in a third world location. Pretty cool really! Now they are even making wedding shoes!

when i get used

Whenever an image gets used, I love it. It has something to do with creating an image and letting the image shine in it’s own wonder. Recently AGWPJA updated new images in the rotation on their website and they used a couple vertical shots of mine on the right side. These are images that recently received awards so I am grateful for the awards and for my clients that let me be there. Yep it’s good to be used.

veintidos años

Twenty-two years! Every year it is though more and more people are impressed with the years that we have been married. I know when we got married when we were 15 it seems so long ago…just kidding, we didn’t get married when we were 15.

I want to say how thankful I am for my wife and friend who has stood by my through the years and has helped raise our incredible boys. She has always encouraged, has been a great listener and has been the joy of my life.

Happy Anniversay Neesie – Veintidos Años!

frozen news

I understand that two-thirds of America had a White Christmas yesterday. And although this year we did not, we are enjoying blue sky and freezing temperatures. This morning as I picked up the paper all covered in frost and ice, I felt like I was carrying in a trophy. Who knew the news could look so beautiful?

christmas on the dock

For this past month Colby has been planning on this special gift for his wife Courtney. Colby had it all planned I would get the present out of his parents vehicle where it was wrapped and he had Courtney seated so she wouldn’t see me coming. So this morning bright and early at 8:30am I knocked on the door to Courtney and Colby’s house. Inside were all the family celebrating their Christmas morning. When I came in she greeted me with her signature hug and then quickly began to open the present. The present was a large canvas from their wedding in Mexico this past spring. And because this morning was so special I thought it would be so special if we could take a few moments and take a few pics of them for their first Christmas together.

This couple, Colby and Courtney, have been the dearest of clients and friends. I am so incredible thankful that Diane introduced us…my life will never be the same. They both are so endearing and so special that words don’t seem adequate at all. I love you Colby and Courtney – Merry Christmas.

OH! And yes the girl in the picture is Courtney too! LOL, she just recently change her hair style from being a blonde.

And to everyone else: Merry Christmas. May God shine his Love down on your hearts in a special way this Holiday Season.

gwenyth at four weeks

This year I have had the joy of taking more baby pictures and to see these precious little ones as they grow has been very special. This shot was taken when Gwenyth was just 4 weeks and although there was some debate to have her wear the hat or not I think that she looks amazing with it on.
