With each month, week, day, hour, minute and second that goes by it is just a matter of time when Sam and Steve will be back together in each others arms. I urge you to please stand by them in prayer asking God to continue to protect and watch over them during this time.

I am so thankful again to have some more images from some recent weddings place with the Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association or AGWPJA. I enjoy this group more than another because they allow us to be more creative with the overall image while still being photojournalistic.

The USA is leading in the current medal count and China is currently second, and leading with the amount of Gold medals. But what if that old competitor were still around in it’s old glory? The USSR or CCCP as we saw on their jerseys would be bringing in a bucket full of medal with these countries that have become independent: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.

Therefore the top three would be:

USSR 59
USA 53
China 46

It reminds me of this old story; Texas was complaining that they were number two after the addition
of Alaska as a State in 1959. “Be quiet” Alaska said, “or we will split Alaska and you will be number 3!”

It’s been an awesome day in sports at the Summer Olympics with Phelps getting 7 golds.

I had a shoot recently with Chante that was so much fun it rates as one of the most fun ever.

These past weeks have amazing to move through. There is much to be gained during this terrible loss. One thing that I don’t think I have mentioned before is that this verse from the Bible keeps running through my mind:

Yesterday was my birthday. Roxanne (Neesie’s niece and her husband Bryan were here on vacation and Rick and Druci were back from Asia and we were able to hear what God has been doing in their ministry teams around the world. They told how people were physically healed, deliverance was given to those oppressed and protection when the team was robbed in Africa with gunpoint and machetes.

As I scanned the room I was so grateful for friends, family and the opportunity to live.

I love when couples are just together talking and holding hands. Life is difficult at times and it is very special to find someone that is there for you when it is good and bad, thick and thin, chocolate and no chocolate.
