visiting the crash site
Neesie, and I took Jenny, my parents and my oldest brother John and his wife Julie to the crash site. After awhile we were able to find the correct road and had to hike several hundred yards to the crash which is located in timber. NTSB had already recovered all remains and the large pieces of the wreckage. We also were able to talk with some residents that saw it happen and they told us their father was one of the first on the scene.
We have heard the propeller was not spinning when it hit the ground. We have also heard from the coroner that the impact killed them both and that they did not suffer in the intense fire that followed. Authorities did find Brian’s wedding ring and Mark’s glasses. Armed with a metal detector we had hoped to find Mark’s wedding ring for Lynette, but we were unable to find it. Grief comes and goes and we are so thankful for your prayers.

Tender John picked some flowers and placed them in a bottle as a vase.

Ron,
I just heard of your terrible loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and all of your family. I know that at a time like this it is hard for people to know what to say. Just know that you have so many people wrapping their arms around you and lifting you all up. May God’s precious love comfort all of you.

Ron, I am so sorry to hear about this substantial loss that you and your family are going through. I know, from experience that words are never enough… though sometimes, they can bring a sense of relief just knowing that others care and are trying to empathize with your situation. Although it is a cliche, I wanted to remind you to find your comfort from the Source of Life. He will comfort you and love you through this time. Again, my heart is breaking for you and your loved ones. I will add them to my Bible Study’s prayer chain.
In Christ,
Rachael

Ron,
Oh I don’t know how you were able to take those photos. They are so tender and personal. The pictures of your mom and dad are so powerful and moving. Bless you and your family. I pray the Holy Spirit continues to cover you like a blanket.
Your friend,
Shawna
